NGSS Developer Onboarding

All new hire developers will participate in a project space called Greenfield. The Greenfield Team is a key part of the onboarding process designed to introduce and familiarize new hires with Apothesource’s practices and procedures surrounding software development. This team comprises several individuals:

Greenfield PO’s have dual responsibilities within both the Greenfield and CKM teams. Communication within the team is done via Daily stand-ups where we discuss status, direction, and work to remove any impediments. Team members will also utilize both the #greenfield-dev and #onboarding-general channels for discussions. Developers will complete their initial Environment Setup, the Developer Starter Project, and work through the Greenfield curriculum; this is where the new developers will work stories related to our specific components and services. Developers will also participate in Greenfield Sprint Planning activities to understand how our team conducts sprint planning & retrospectives. Once the curriculum has been completed, the developer exits Greenfield and is incorporated into their assigned project teams.
