Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Configuration
This guide will walk you through the process of setting up and connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) using the Windows App on macOS. Azure Virtual Desktop provides remote access to the VA network and applications from your Mac device.
Installation Options
Connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop
Add Your Workspace

Click the + Add Work or School Account button in the app

Enter your VA email address
Authenticate Using Your PIV Card

Enter your PIN when requested

The system will verify your credentials against your company’s identity provider
Access Your Virtual Desktop

After successful authentication, you’ll see available resources (desktops and applications)

Double-click on the desktop or application you want to access

Your virtual desktop or application will launch in a new window
| If you minimize the connection center you can use full screen and still tab across applications |
